| Steam Cleaning |
| Steam Cleaning is used for the removal of embedded soil residue, grout haze, pencil marks, organic contaminants and surface stains. |
| Stripping |
| Stripping is used for the removal of water-base coats (wax, acrylics) or solvent base coats (urethane, varnish, lacquer) from the surface of the stone. |
| Grinding |
| New Castle uses a specialized grinding process where the surface is aggressively sanded to remove large stocks of the stone. This grinding process removes deep scratches as well as lippage (high and low tiles) and flattens the stone surface. |
| Honing |
| Our Honing process uses moderate to fine abrasives or grits intended to resurface the affected area by reaching to the bottom of scratches or pits. With this honing process, the surface of your stone will get smoother and help obtain a deeper luster in the polishing process. This process is used to remove minor to moderate scratches and etch marks |
| Polishing |
| The New Castle polishing process uses a polishing compound and a weighted floor machine that will remove uneven wear, light water spots, micro scratches and minor etching. It will produce a “mirror like luster”. |
| Sealing |
| New Castle Marble uses a special below the surface premium impregnator sealer that protects against penetration of dirt, moisture and stains. It will preserve the natural beauty of the stone. |
| Stain Removal |
| Removal of “below the surface” discoloration (food, drink, oil, metal, rust, algae, mildew, etc.) using a special poultice stain remover. |
| Scratch Removal |
| New Castle Marble uses a hand held diamond impregnated pad or series of diamond abrasives to remove deep, scratches from the stones’ surface. Removal success depends on the type of stone, depth of scratch, blending, etc. |
| Grout Cleaning |
Hand cleaning of grout joints using special cleaners and a small brush. Hand cleaning is done in addition to machine scrubbing.

| Repairs of Holes Chips & Cracks |
| Depending on the stone surface (polished or honed), we refill Holes Chips & Cracks with a special patching material (epoxy, polyester glue, or stone filler). Color will be matched as closely as possible. |
| Ongoing Maintenance |
